WO is affiliated with Watertown Memorial, which is a 100-bed, not-for-profit community, owned hospital. Last year we had 70,000 outpatient visits, 3,400 inpatient admissions, 750 inpatient and 2,500 outpatient surgical procedures, 300 births and 17,000 ER visits. Board-certified, EM residency trained physicians staff our emergency room 24-hours and we provide an urgent-care clinic. Our medical staff of 118, of which 52 are active, consists of primary care physicians and a wide variety of specialists drawing from a primary service area of 22,000 and a secondary service area of 24,000.
Watertown Area Health Services is also a joint venture partner with the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Medical Foundation and another nearby community hospital in a cancer center in Johnson Creek, which is in the southern area of our service area. Through this joint venture, we are able to offer the highest quality cancer treatment with chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
Watertown is a community of 22,000+. Located in the heart of "Kettle Moraine Country," this area is known for its rolling hills and wide-open space. The city of Watertown, located on the Rock River, offers excellent schools and youth programs, churches, good shopping, and many recreational activities.
