DUTIES: The Radiology Technologist II-Sonographer is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers and supporting the department by providing a variety of Radiological diagnostic and imaging services while assisting in the development and administration of radiological procedures and policies, and maintaining patient records. This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Operates under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree, diploma or equivalent by an accredited Diagnostic Imaging program. Minimum one year previous diagnostic imaging experience required. Radiography with on the job training and registry eligible.

DUTIES: This selected professional will work as a member of the cardiovascular catheterization team to monitor, scrub, and circulate for a variety of cardiac, vascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in a scientific field, preferred. Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Technology or an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, preferred. ACLS and BLS certification required. Previous cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, or interventional radiology experience preferred. Previous general radiology experience will be considered.

DUTIES: The Registered Dietician - Diabetes Educator serves as a healthcare professional who has mastered the core knowledge and skills in the biological/social sciences, communication, counseling and education. The Diabetes Educator has experience in the care of people with diabetes.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Certified Diabetes Educator must have 1000 hours of education with diabetes patients and have taken or is prepared to take the CDE exam. Bachelors Degree in Dietetics. American Dietetic Association Registered Dietician, required. Licensed by the state of Wisconsin, CDE, preferred. Two years experience in healthcare related field.

DUTIES: The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external WAHS customers and supporting the department by providing a variety of rehabilitation care services. This position assists the physical therapist in implementing treatment programs according to the Plan of Care, training patients in exercise activities, conducting treatments, using special equipment, administering modalities, documenting, charging and reporting patient's response to the physical therapist. This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Operates under limited supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of a two year APTA accredited PTA program. Current state of WI licensure. CPR Certification. Knowledge and skills in using various therapy equipment. Knowledge of patient documentation. Knowledge of safety and infection control hospital procedures.

DUTIES: The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers and supporting the department by providing a variety of medical laboratory services. This position provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or hospital needs and performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. The Medical Laboratory Technologist is a professional member of the laboratory staff who performs laboratory procedures, quality control, instrumentation maintenance and venipunctures, solves problems under critical time constraints and operates under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of education beyond high school, meeting CLIA Requirements. MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), MT (AMT), or MT (HEW). Effective communication and interpersonal skills and behaviors.

DUTIES: This position is responsible for ongoing needs assessment, program development, and coordination of wellness services to area employers. The Wellness Works Specialist will also plan and develop these wellness activities for Watertown Area Health Services associates, assist in strategic planning, developing and implementing department goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science in a healthcare related field. One year of experience in occupational health, health education, or case management. Ability to teach and present to groups, analytical, creative, adaptable, perceptive, persuasive, methodical, orderly, thorough and enterprising.

DUTIES: The Student, Level 3 position is an opportunity for a college student to gain working knowledge of their field of study. This position will assume Pharmacy Technician duties (approximately 64 hours/pay period) in addition to hours worked with the clinical pharmacist (approximately 16 hours/pay period).

DUTIES: Under the direction of the Patient Financial Services Manager, utilizes the computerized accounts receivable system to its maximum potential, manages accounts receivable, supervises assigned personnel, handles difficult accounts personally, recommends policies and procedures, acts and advises other areas seeking information and direction pertaining to respective third party payer reimbursements, remains responsive to new developments, and performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in Business or equivalent, Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, preferred. Minimum of three years progressive experience in medical billing and accounts receivable management, with direct associate supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES: The Billing Clerk is responsible for submitting accurate claims-in a timely manner-to all third party payers, performing insurance follow up, and other various clerical functions, as necessary. This position performs job responsibilities under limited supervision. The Billing Clerk functions as part of a team always performing job functions in a professional manner, and maintaining positive public relations with all internal and external contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate. 2 years experience health care billing required. Effective written, oral communications skills required. Computer experience including accurate keyboarding and familiarity with current business software. Medical terminology and CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding knowledge is required.

DUTIES: This position organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs in the hospital to facilitate rehabilitation of a person with a disability. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, develops, and implements treatment and discharge plans for patients. The therapist may provide community wellness and prevention programming. The Occupational Therapist provides clinical supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. The Occupational Therapist provides the knowledge and skills to meet physician, patient, staff, and/or WAHS needs and performs in accordance with WAHS standards and policies. The Staff OT is a highly trained individual who must solve problems under critical time constraints and operates under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association. CPR Certification.
