Vestibular Rehab
Do you often feel dizzy or lose your balance?
Your body has three systems that wok together, giving you input to maintain your balance. One of these systems, called the "Vestibular System", is located in your inner ear.

Aging, viral infection, or an inner ear infection can affect the vestibular system and cause you to feel dizzy, unbalanced or light headed. If left untreated, this disturbance to the Vestibular System will cause balance problems that possibly predispose you to falling and injuring yourself.

If you have feelings that you are unstable with walking, or if you have fears of falling, talk to your physician about the Vestibular Rehabilitation Program in the Physical Therapy Department of Watertown Memorial Hospital.
